Multi-Unit Particulates (MUPs) with matrix pellets are used to develop controlled release products of various active pharmaceutical ingredients. They may allow improvement in solubility and thereby bioavailability poorly soluble drugs. Omeprazole magnesium is a derivative benzimidazole which belongs the group proton pump inhibitors that exhibits degradation gastric acid short biological life variability bioavailability. The drug problem was overcome by coating enteric agents disperse gastrointestinal tract more homogenously than single units rapid transit time. Pellets were compressed reduce tampering risk transportation difficulty through esophagus. done bottom spray technique.
